Having spent formative years studying classical violin then jazz theory and electronic music production, Xiaolin emerges as an uncompromising music lover taking inspiration from the 80’s-early 90’s era, Cantonese culture and the Bristol underground scene. Ranging from high-energy breaks and jazzy acid electro to euphoric rave energy as well as more downtempo ambient grooves, her uniquely ethereal, ever-evolving sound carries a playful and romantic flair.

Xiaolin is a resident of 宀 with her club night HEX, with releases on 20/20 Vision (Exit Planet Earth alongside Carl Finlow and Plant43), Mihn and Klasse Wrecks. Her recent collaboration with Mr. Ho on Klasse features her funky basslines, quirky chords and signature melodies. She hosts bimonthly radio shows on Baihui China and EOS Frankfurt, hosting guests such as Wada Yosuke and Torei from Japan. Xiaolin’s debut electro-techno fusion EP MIHN002 was premiered by Resident Advisor, with standout track “Lion Dance” making it on Carl Cox’s Spotify Track IDs. Her release “Dance Of The Jungle Moon”, premiered by Les Yeux Orange, has been supported at Panorama Bar and El Cuerpo Del Disco. Her first solo vinyl EP Tower Moment was launched to critical acclaim from respected DJ’s worldwide, and was featured by Jaguar on BBC Radio 1 “Introducing Dance”.
